What exactly do my clients get?
The same checklists Guidepost gives away free on this site, 38 of them, printed for the province you pick, with your branding block at the top and a footer that says who prepared it for them, that it comes from official sources, when it was verified, and that it is not a government publication or legal advice.
What does the branding block show?
Your display name, and if you add them, your firm or brokerage, your licence or registration number and your logo. For realtors the brokerage name is required and printed first. For immigration consultants the name as registered with the College and the public register address are required, and the registered name prints at the top. For paralegals the block says Licensed Paralegal. A regulator's logo is never printed.
Are the change alerts included?
Change alerts are not available yet. They will be added to every plan at no extra cost, and no date has been set.
Do you send anything to my clients?
No. You download the handout and give it to your client yourself. When you send these to your clients, the message is yours. Anti-spam rules apply to you as the sender.
How does the Firm plan work?
A Firm plan has 5 seats, yours included. You add a colleague by email address; they sign in with that address and use the library. The firm has one branding block, set by the account owner.
What do you keep, and for how long?
Your branding block, your logo if you upload one, the email addresses of any seats, and a log of each download: the date, the checklist and the province. Nothing about your clients. The account and everything in it is deleted 12 months after a cancelled plan ends, or at once when you delete it, and download log entries are deleted after 12 months.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time, from Billing in the app. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, and it does not renew.
Is it available in Quebec?
The handouts include Quebec checklists. The subscription is not yet sold to professionals based in Quebec, because the terms must first be available in French.
