How long it lasts: 5 years
How renewal works: renew it every 5 years either online or at a ServiceOntario centre
Where to find your date: on your licence card, or on the renewal notice your registry mails you. The official page does not say where it is printed.

This one is guidance about your own paperwork, not a government rule, so there is no official source to cite.
Mortgage renewal
How it works: A federally regulated financial institution must send you a renewal statement at least 21 days before the end of your term, and must tell you 21 days ahead if it will not renew.
What the agency advises: Start shopping around a few months before the end of your term.

How long it lasts: Adults 16 and over can hold a 5-year or 10-year passport, chosen at application.
Renewing: Renewal is simplified: no guarantor, no proof of citizenship, and no supporting ID for those who qualify to renew.
Before you travel: Many destinations require validity beyond your trip dates, so check your destination requirement and start several months early.

This one is a fixed date, so there is nothing to enter. It repeats every year in your calendar.
The date: The general personal income tax filing deadline is on or before April 30.
Worth knowing: A balance owing is still due April 30, even for self-employed filers. The later date is for filing the return, not for paying.

Official source →Each event carries a reminder one week before. The two tax dates repeat every year; the dates you enter yourself are added once, because your renewal cycle is on your own paperwork and this tool does not guess it.

What this tool will not do
- ✗Look up your dates. It has no way to reach your licence, your plates, or your passport, so it asks you and tells you where to find each one.
- ✗Guess a renewal date from a cycle. Knowing a licence lasts five years does not tell anyone when yours was issued.
- ✗Fill a gap the official page leaves. Where a province publishes nothing, the panel says so and sends you to the registry.
- ✗Give tax advice. The tax row is a date and a reminder, and deliberately nothing more.

Common Questions
Do my dates get sent anywhere?
No. Everything you type stays in your browser. The calendar file is built on your own device and downloaded straight from it, and nothing you enter is sent to Guidepost or to anyone else.
Why does the tool ask me for my licence expiry instead of working it out?
Because your expiry date is on your card and your renewal notice, and nowhere this tool can reach. What the tool can tell you honestly is how long a licence lasts in your province, how renewal works there, and where to look for your own date. It attaches the reminder; it never guesses the date itself.
Why do some panels say a detail is not stated on the official page?
Because it is not. Where a provincial page does not publish something, such as where the expiry is printed or whether age-based rules apply, the panel says so and points you at the registry instead of filling the gap with something plausible. In British Columbia and Saskatchewan the registration mechanic is not retrievable, so the panel gives the accurate answer that registration is paid together with the public insurer.
Which dates repeat in my calendar?
The two tax filing dates repeat every year, because they fall on the same calendar date every year. The dates you enter yourself are added once. Your renewal cycle is on your own paperwork, and the tool will not extrapolate a date it has not been told.
