You normally have 90 days to register your vehicle in Nova Scotia - that is the deadline the Registry publishes for people moving here, and it applies if you became a resident by living in the province more than 90 days in a year. The Motor Vehicle Act gives only 30 days if you became a resident another way: working or carrying on an activity for gain here for more than 30 days, attending school or college here, or having children in school here. Important: the vehicle must also pass a Nova Scotia MVI within 30 days of entering the province and before titling. These are two separate deadlines.
